Disc Pastillator

Disc Pastillator

The Disc Pastillator, or pelletizing disc, is used to create pastilles.
Pastillizing is the process whereby a liquid product is congealed into pastilles.

The molten product is dosed via a stationary dosing head placing pastilles onto an intermittent rotating disc. The moment that the product hits the disc it starts to congeal. The process of dosing, congealing and pastillizing is completed in less than one rotation. The result is easily transportable pastilles, perfectly uniform in shape and quality.

Disc Pastillator

The concept of the GMF-Gouda Disc Pastillator has various functional advantages:

  • The compact vertical construction requires little floor space;

  • A completely closed cooling-water circuit rules out the possibility of the product coming into contact with the coolant;

  • A gastight process space makes the machine especially suitable for processing poisonous, oxidising, hygroscopic and bad smelling products;

  • The Disc Pastillator has a modular construction making it easily expandable for increased capacity.
