GMF-Gouda and NIZO Seminar great success !
On January 25th 2007, the seminar that was organized by GMF-Gouda in cooperation with NIZO food research, took place in Ede, the Netherlands.
The seminar was attended by approx. 75 customers from all over the world and started with a welcome word of Mrs. Jose Escher from NIZO and Mr. Mac Wirodihardjo from GMF-Gouda. They also announced the purpose of the seminar:
- To officially "launch" the unique cooperation between NIZO and GMF-Gouda
- To inform customers about relevant developments and know-how on (drum) drying
- To show you the GMF/NIZO small scale production plant in a food-grade environment
- To get valuable input from you for the GMF innovation program
- To have a good time both formally and informally
After their welcome word, the morning program was continued by three presentations of members of GMF-Gouda's commercial department, who presented subjects regarding drum drying technology. In one of these presentations the new design drum dryer, developed by GMF-Gouda, was introduced. The main improvements of this machine are based upon aspects like: hygienic design, maintenance, operation and accessibility.
During lunch time, the seminar attendees were invited for a very interesting tour in NIZO's food grade and very well equipped pilot plant. The benefits and purposes of encapsulating products as well as the latest developments in the field of producing ice cream were explained by staff members of NIZO. Furthermore, the new GMF-Gouda drum drying line was demonstrated.
The afternoon program was filled up by three speakers of NIZO food research who presented the subjects:
- Flavour solutions; sensible products with sensible heat
- Food Safety and shelf life of dried products
- The factory of the future
According to the very positive reactions we received from our customers, we can conclude that the content of the seminar was esteemed very interesting. We hope that we have been able to show you what we can mean for you:
